The Doors at the Hollywood Bowl 1968

On this day in 1968, The Doors played at the Hollywood Bowl. It was one of their most triumphant and legendary shows. Luckily, the whole thing was professionally filmed. I thought many of you would enjoy this over the Independence Day weekend...enjoy!

  1. It's fascinating how gigs were so different back then. Loving the way Jim Morrison is just sauntering around the stage while the keyboard guy is jamming the opening. .

    1. I know, right? And the total lack of distractions on stage back in those days, just the band and their gear playing on stage. Similar to that Who live at Leeds post I put on here a few weeks back. Even into the 70s the bands who had "over the top" stage shows like Led Zeppelin really only had lights and smoke machines...certainly nothing like the huge productions these days!
